Spotlight on...

Communities In Schools is a respected national voice for students. Over the years, through five Presidential administrations, our position has been clear: Every child needs and deserves the resources that make the difference between a graduate and a dropout.

Need to contact your local CIS office?

Executive Director John M. Bjerum, LBSW, invites you to contact him with any ideas or concerns involving Communities In Schools of Harvey County.

The Communities In Schools office is located in Newton, Kansas, at the Cooper Annex,
218 E. Seventh St. The building is easy to find, located just one block east of the intersection of Main and North Seventh streets. For those more familiar with Newton, we're across the street from the Police Department and the Newton Public Library.

Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. John suggests a quick phone call to the office before dropping by for a visit. (CIS business requires plenty of meetings away from the office.)
